With a little luck, Ramsen FSV's Benny Klöckner got control of the ball when Danko Niederhellmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ramsen FSV booed when FC HEP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfried Langensiepen didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC HEP's José Cezanne got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilfried Langensiepen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, José Cezanne managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC HEP's supporters rose to their feet, but José Cezanne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benny Klöckner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The FC HEP players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ramsen FSV were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ansgar Thieringer was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfried Langensiepen in the 55th minute of play forced Ramsen FSV's goalkeeper Benny Klöckner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ramsen FSV's Florian Staffelt got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 73rd minute, Wilfried Langensiepen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Cezanne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC HEP's Amerigo Hilligloh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save FC HEP from getting a goal against them. When Florian Staffelt fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ramsen FSV's protests and gave Florian Staffelt a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 minutes Ramsen FSV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonas Ehinger who took care of the corner kick. The corner led FC HEP's Jonas Ehinger to fire away a dangerous shot which Benny Klöckner despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. José Cezanne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Cezanne in the 94th minute of play forced Ramsen FSV's goalkeeper Benny Klöckner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramsen FSV were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FC HEP's much stronger midfield.
