Gero Lehn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tony Boehme kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 0-1 became the score in the 10th minute when Timo Wohl elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 13 minutes, Gero Lehn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Suhl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gero Lehn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kleingera's goalkeeper Wolfhard Paus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wolfhard Paus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gero Lehn, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A nice corner shot did that Timo Wohl got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wolfhard Paus quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wolfhard Paus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timo Wohl in the 24th minute of play. In the 30th minute Gero Lehn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolfhard Paus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Kleingera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Koschinat to maneuver through the defense. After 38th play minutes Timo Wohl shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Wolfhard Paus and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Kleingera getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Uwe Kamp hit a great ball. Gero Lehn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timo Wohl in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wolfhard Paus saved Kleingera from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timo Wohl was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, FC Suhl's Gero Lehn dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. When FC Suhl's Gero Lehn in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kleingera's goalie prevented a goal. Gero Lehn had several of the Kleingera's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Wolfhard Paus as he didn't even see the shot coming. 69 minutes into the match Timo Wohl climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-7 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Wolfhard Paus. The audience was convinced that Timo Wohl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wolfhard Paus was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. FC Suhl's Wolfram Steele was substituted for Pascal Kornrumpf. FC Suhl's Cristian Lluterio was substituted for Karl-Ove Sundberg. If Timo Wohl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Suhl's Timo Wohl got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Schroth during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Philip Amsoneit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Wolfhard Paus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philip Amsoneit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolfhard Paus having to interfere. Wolfhard Paus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philip Amsoneit in the 98th minute of the match. When the match was over FC Suhl could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kleingera throughout the match.
