The supporters of Trojaner booed when Oberhagen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Benda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Luc Stark sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Oberhagen's Dirk Yentür didn't even have to move. When Trojaner's Klaas Bolle in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oberhagen's goalie prevented a goal. In the 17thth minute of the game Klaas Bolle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oberhagen's Dirk Yentür was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Oberhagen's goalkeeper Dirk Yentür had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niko Hahn. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaas Bolle in the 21st minute of play forced Oberhagen's goalkeeper Dirk Yentür to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Niko Hahn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Klaas Bolle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Yentür having to interfere. Dirk Yentür showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaas Bolle, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Dirk Yentür took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaas Bolle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes Oberhagen got a freekick which was hit by Gennaro Schwöbel. Niko Hahn received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dirk Yentür came out and tried to block the shot, but Niko Hahn slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaas Bolle in the 48th minute of play forced Oberhagen's goalkeeper Dirk Yentür to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Klaas Bolle was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Trojaner's goal looked a bit too open when Gennaro Schwöbel came free, but Figen Gerick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Klaas Bolle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dirk Yentür made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niko Hahn in the 60th minute of play. Dirk Yentür took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niko Hahn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Oberhagen's goal looked a bit too open when Klaas Bolle came free, but Dirk Yentür reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niko Hahn in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dirk Yentür prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Klaas Bolle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Klaas Bolle came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Trojaner fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klaas Bolle couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the match, Oberhagen's goal looked a bit too open when Niko Hahn came free, but Dirk Yentür reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Niko Hahn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trojaner's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niko Hahn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Klaas Bolle struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Dirk Yentür didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trojaner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niko Hahn in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dirk Yentür saved Oberhagen from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Klaas Bolle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trojaner's supporters rose to their feet, but Klaas Bolle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dirk Yentür breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dirk Yentür showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niko Hahn, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Trojaner walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
