Damian Scholtz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Eric Linsert skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Eric Linsert successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Damian Scholtz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Linsert having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Tjark Picht made a precise shot to the right of Freddy Freytag. VfL Wolfsburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Glenn Wolfstein charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glenn Wolfstein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Glenn Wolfstein hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Thorben Schnell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rüxbüll FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thorben Schnell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. VfL Wolfsburg's Freddy Freytag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julien Assmann in the 23rd minute of play. Eric Linsert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damian Scholtz went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute Thorben Schnell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Freytag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes, Özcan Locher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rüxbüll FC and the VfL Wolfsburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Rüxbüll FC got a freekick which was hit by Özcan Locher. The long shot by Damian Scholtz in the 32nd minute really tested Eric Linsert's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Freddy Freytag came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Rüxbüll FC's Julien Assmann. But to his dismay, Julien Assmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 39 minutes into the match, VfL Wolfsburg's goal looked a bit too open when Julien Assmann came free, but Freddy Freytag reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddy Freytag showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tjark Picht in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, VfL Wolfsburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edzard Bonhoeffer to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th match minute, Rüxbüll FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thorben Schnell to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Freytag took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Waitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Rüxbüll FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julien Assmann was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Freddy Freytag had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thorben Schnell. Freddy Freytag came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Rüxbüll FC's Thorben Schnell. But to his dismay, Thorben Schnell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Igor Waitz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Freddy Freytag firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 61st minute Julien Assmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Freytag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Waitz got free with Freddy Freytag in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. VfL Wolfsburg's Freddy Freytag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julien Assmann in the 64th minute of play. Igor Waitz scored 1-4 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Freddy Freytag, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Waitz got free with Freddy Freytag in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 70 minutes of play VfL Wolfsburg's Edzard Bonhoeffer was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Rüxbüll FC booed when VfL Wolfsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edzard Bonhoeffer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddy Freytag was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Glenn Wolfstein showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 75 minute of play. Freddy Freytag made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Thorben Schnell sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Rüxbüll FC's Julien Assmann slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Freddy Freytag. That made the score 1-6 after 79 minutes of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Tjark Picht kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Freddy Freytag. That made the score 1-7 in the 82 minute of play. Thorben Schnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddy Freytag showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julien Assmann in the 86th minute of the match. Freddy Freytag made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julien Assmann in the 89th minute of play. Freddy Freytag made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Thorben Schnell sent off a good shot on target. After 91 played minutes VfL Wolfsburg got a freekick which was hit by Matt Graul. In the 93rd minute, Rüxbüll FC's Tjark Picht ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Freddy Freytag. Freddy Freytag yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. Freddy Freytag showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julien Assmann in the 96th minute of the match. Stefan Kauth hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Rüxbüll FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
