An unexpectedly hard shot by Egon Ulrich in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Hofmühle's goalkeeper Nikolaos Philipp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikolaos Philipp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egon Ulrich in the 12th minute of the match. Folker Fortuna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Wilhelm Schüßler made a huge save. After a rather tough play, FC Hofmühle's Özcan Mäncher got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Robert Ollert took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nikolaos Philipp. FC Hofmühle's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nikolaos Philipp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Egon Ulrich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nikolaos Philipp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robert Ollert kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Wilhelm Schüßler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marius Trittin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Hofmühle's Nikolaos Philipp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egon Ulrich in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Högl's Lothar Seybold nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikolaos Philipp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Janusz Schwartz kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Ernst Russok made the kick off in the second half. Lothar Seybold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Folker Fortuna fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Hofmühle's protests and gave Folker Fortuna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, FC Hofmühle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Folker Fortuna to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Robert Ollert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute of the match Christoph Schünemann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilhelm Schüßler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Lothar Seybold took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Nikolaos Philipp to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 74 minutes, Lothar Seybold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Högl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lothar Seybold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Högl getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Robert Ollert hit a great ball. Nikolaos Philipp made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Egon Ulrich sent off a good shot on target. Egon Ulrich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Nikolaos Philipp made a huge save. Högl's Wilhelm Schüßler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernst Russok in the 88th minute of play. Wilhelm Schüßler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folker Fortuna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lothar Seybold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolaos Philipp having to interfere. After 96 played minutes FC Hofmühle got a freekick which was hit by Folker Fortuna. Högl's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
