Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Egon Ulrich took the kick off in the first half of the match. Egon Ulrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harald Peters having to interfere. Wilhelm Schüßler came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Kottweil's Erik Franke. But to his dismay, Erik Franke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Wilhelm Schüßler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frido Meiswinkel went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Wilhelm Schüßler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niklas Hutmacher in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lothar Seybold in the 23rd minute of play forced Kottweil's goalkeeper Harald Peters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Hadrian Bodendecker shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilhelm Schüßler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Kottweil's Niklas Hutmacher got a free kick in the 31st minute. Harald Peters made an important save on a dangerous shot by Egon Ulrich in the 32nd minute. Wilhelm Schüßler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Franke, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Wilhelm Schüßler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Franke in the 39th minute of play. If Egon Ulrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilhelm Schüßler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaas Früchtl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Högl's Wilhelm Schüßler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frido Meiswinkel in the 46th minute of play. After 47 played minutes Högl got a freekick which was hit by Frank Walz. The Högl players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kottweil were winning 0-2.

In the 59th minute, Niklas Hutmacher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Högl's Wilhelm Schüßler got control of the ball when Erik Franke tried to sneak it across the goal line. Klaas Früchtl's late challenge caught a Högl's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klaas Früchtl helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kottweil getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Klaas Früchtl hit a great ball. Egon Ulrich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Harald Peters tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Klaas Früchtl was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. In the 70th minute of the match Robert Ollert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Harald Peters showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Frido Meiswinkel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Lothar Seybold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 78 minutes, Egon Ulrich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Högl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egon Ulrich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erik Franke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Wilhelm Schüßler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Sebastian Breithaupt made a precise shot to the right of Wilhelm Schüßler. Högl's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Egon Ulrich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Kottweil players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
