Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dietmar Kuklinski got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Dörenthe's zone, Waldemar Ebersbacher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erdal Köppen came out of the goal and Waldemar Ebersbacher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Dörenthe's goal looked a bit too open when Dietmar Kuklinski came free, but Erdal Köppen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Dörenthe booed when SV Amwald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Ebersbacher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sören Hauser struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Ismael Ueberle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dörenthe. 18 minutes into the match, Dietmar Kuklinski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erdal Köppen. Dörenthe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dietmar Kuklinski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 21st minute, Klaus Hochbaum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dietmar Kuklinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dietmar Kuklinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Gerald Bontz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erdal Köppen was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Ferenc Schinner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ismael Ueberle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Dörenthe defense, Waldemar Ebersbacher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erdal Köppen. The Dörenthe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erdal Köppen should have stopped the shot. Dietmar Kuklinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Erdal Köppen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erdal Köppen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Ebersbacher, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Waldemar Ebersbacher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferenc Schinner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ismael Ueberle having to make a save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sören Hauser stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Waldemar Ebersbacher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erdal Köppen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dietmar Kuklinski in the 51st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karsten Stammler during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 played minutes SV Amwald got a freekick which was hit by Karsten Stammler. Erdal Köppen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldemar Ebersbacher in the 57th minute. After 60 played minutes, Dörenthe's Leonid Berking shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ismael Ueberle came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dörenthe reached it. In the 62nd minute, Menno Tannenberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ismael Ueberle was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After 66 minutes, Gerald Bontz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Amwald and the Dörenthe players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SV Amwald getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Gerald Bontz hit a great ball. Ferenc Schinner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Ueberle having to interfere. After 69 minutes, Lars Kunstwadl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Amwald and the Dörenthe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Lars Kunstwadl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sören Hauser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Ueberle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferenc Schinner in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dietmar Kuklinski in the 79th minute of play forced Dörenthe's goalkeeper Erdal Köppen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Ueberle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sören Hauser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dietmar Kuklinski struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Erdal Köppen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Amwald. Dörenthe's Erdal Köppen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Dörenthe from getting a goal against them. SV Amwald's Dietmar Kuklinski got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
