The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wesley Stingl got free with Ismael Ueberle in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Waldemar Ebersbacher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Teufel having to interfere. Dietmar Kuklinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 10 minutes into the match, ΑΕΚ Αthens FC's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Ebersbacher came free, but Sven Teufel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eberhard Klug kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Dietmar Kuklinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Teufel having to interfere. ΑΕΚ Αthens FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Amwald the free kick. After 27 played minutes ΑΕΚ Αthens FC got a freekick which was hit by Helmut Vogt. In the 28th minute, Waldemar Ebersbacher made a precise shot to the right of Sven Teufel. ΑΕΚ Αthens FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, ΑΕΚ Αthens FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dietmar Kuklinski came free, but Sven Teufel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven Teufel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Waldemar Ebersbacher went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Waldemar Ebersbacher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wesley Stingl to strike the kick off in the second half. Wesley Stingl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Ueberle having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, ΑΕΚ Αthens FC's goalkeeper Sven Teufel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Waldemar Ebersbacher. After 55 played minutes ΑΕΚ Αthens FC got a freekick which was hit by Helmut Vogt. In the 66th minute Dietmar Kuklinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Teufel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 71 minutes, Waldemar Ebersbacher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Amwald's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldemar Ebersbacher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Waldemar Ebersbacher got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Dietmar Kuklinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Dietmar Kuklinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Teufel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldemar Ebersbacher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dietmar Kuklinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Sven Teufel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Teufel was a little too slow when Dietmar Kuklinski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-3. Waldemar Ebersbacher struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Sven Teufel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Amwald. SV Amwald's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
