The supporters of Schierenplack FSV booed when Profibolzer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delron Zischewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Schierenplack FSV's Ragnar Künast played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samir Schott in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delron Zischewski in the 19th minute of play forced Schierenplack FSV's goalkeeper Ragnar Künast to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Theodor Humke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Schierenplack FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bernd Asmus's late challenge caught a Profibolzer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernd Asmus helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Bernd Asmus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match, Lennart Möst got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ragnar Künast was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ragnar Künast took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delron Zischewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frederik Drechsler during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Profibolzer getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Frederik Drechsler hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, one of Schierenplack FSV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Schierenplack FSV. Schierenplack FSV:s Ragnar Künast showed great skill when he stopped Karsten Yilmaz:s penalty. Ragnar Künast didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karsten Yilmaz went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remo Kühn made a kick off. Ragnar Künast made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennart Möst in the 55th minute of play. Lysander Kirchner had a good opportunity to score a goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went on the wrong side of the left post. In the 61st minute, Kalle Schädlich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Schierenplack FSV's Theodor Humke got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Schierenplack FSV's Theodor Humke managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Frederik Drechsler in the 74 minute of the game. In the 76th minute, Delron Zischewski made a precise shot to the right of Ragnar Künast. Schierenplack FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Dirk Hauschild fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ragnar Künast having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lysander Kirchner got free with Tord Bergamenter in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Schierenplack FSV's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 87th minute of the game, when Lysander Kirchner after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Profibolzer's goal. Lysander Kirchner was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. The Profibolzer players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
