But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerke Hellwig couldn't finish the play. Herbert Osterhagen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Kala having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Herbert Osterhagen notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Unterhaching's Niklas Kala. Niklas Kala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Gerke Hellwig sped through Unterhaching's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Niklas Kala. Niklas Kala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Osterhagen in the 66th minute of play.
