When Gustav Wallenstein came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the FC Superrarebears fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustav Wallenstein couldn't finish the play. Thilo Blees made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Predrag Ackermann in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute Predrag Ackermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thilo Blees saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hubert Anhalter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Christoph Köhnen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rothen's Christoph Köhnen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Haskamp in the 15th minute of play. Pit Wüst took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christoph Köhnen. Christoph Köhnen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gustav Wallenstein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christoph Köhnen having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Hubert Anhalter managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Superrarebears's supporters rose to their feet, but Hubert Anhalter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christoph Köhnen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute, Gustav Wallenstein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hubert Anhalter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Rothen's zone, Arthur Haskamp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christoph Köhnen came out of the goal and Arthur Haskamp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Christoph Köhnen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 35th minute FC Superrarebears were awarded a corner. Pit Wüst went to the cornerflag to take it. 37 minutes into the match, Rothen's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Haskamp came free, but Christoph Köhnen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rothen's Christoph Köhnen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Anhalter in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute Arthur Haskamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoph Köhnen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hubert Anhalter struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Christoph Köhnen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Superrarebears. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Rothen's Predrag Ackermann suffered a concussion after 59 minutes and had to leave the field. 60 minutes into the game, Ben Deriu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Superrarebears's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rothen the free kick. 59 minutes into the game, one of FC Superrarebears:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Thilo Blees went to the wrong direction when Frank-Ulrich Garnschröder was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Christoph Köhnen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pit Wüst went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 72 minutes into the match, Rothen's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Haskamp came free, but Christoph Köhnen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Rothen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christoph Köhnen should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute Arthur Haskamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoph Köhnen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, FC Superrarebears was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Haskamp to maneuver through the defense. Christoph Köhnen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Haskamp in the 94th minute of the match. Jakob Dreseler's late challenge caught a Rothen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jakob Dreseler helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rothen booed when FC Superrarebears was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakob Dreseler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 98 played minutes FC Superrarebears got a freekick which was hit by Gustav Wallenstein. A hard shot by Frank-Ulrich Garnschröder from long distance, 99 minutes into the match, got Thilo Blees's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. FC Superrarebears's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
