Felix Gerstenmaier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trochtelfingen's Dante Nievelstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norman Kreuz in the 29th minute of play. Hemmo Dommert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Niklas Kala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Hemmo Dommert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niklas Kala. Unterhaching's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hemmo Dommert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, Trochtelfingen's goalkeeper Dante Nievelstein had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Gerstenmaier. A collision led to Trochtelfingen getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Peter Gehling hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Norman Kreuz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unterhaching's supporters rose to their feet, but Norman Kreuz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Nievelstein breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Hemmo Dommert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Niklas Kala made a huge save. Hemmo Dommert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niklas Kala having to make a save. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trochtelfingen's goalkeeper Dante Nievelstein, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hemmo Dommert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Yildiray Gaitanzis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute, Felix Gerstenmaier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Trochtelfingen's Hemmo Dommert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niklas Kala. Niklas Kala yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 96th minute Norman Kreuz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Nievelstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Trochtelfingen left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Unterhaching.
