Jannes Thommes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eberhard Cardinale having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Jannes Thommes made a precise shot to the right of Eberhard Cardinale. Göschitz FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Eberhard Cardinale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jannes Thommes, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Eberhard Cardinale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jannes Thommes in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Vosswinkel in the 30th minute of play forced Göschitz FC's goalkeeper Eberhard Cardinale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Vosswinkel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mads Abschatz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Eberhard Cardinale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of 1.FC BAYERN booed when Göschitz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingo Schwaiger didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Torsten Müller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Göschitz FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jean Schenkel hit a great ball. If Jannes Thommes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Marco Vosswinkel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eberhard Cardinale was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After the first half 1.FC BAYERN were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jannes Thommes to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torsten Müller in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christoph Bollerey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marco Vosswinkel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Eberhard Cardinale made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jannes Thommes managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1.FC BAYERN's supporters rose to their feet, but Jannes Thommes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eberhard Cardinale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 67 minutes of play, 1.FC BAYERN's Marco Vosswinkel made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eberhard Cardinale was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74thth minute of the game Jens Ohmer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1.FC BAYERN's Christoph Bollerey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Christoph Bollerey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torsten Müller's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torsten Müller in the 79th minute of play forced 1.FC BAYERN's goalkeeper Christoph Bollerey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens Ohmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christoph Bollerey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torsten Müller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jens Ohmer came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Göschitz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens Ohmer couldn't finish the play. Eberhard Cardinale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jannes Thommes in the 88th minute of play. After 94 played minutes 1.FC BAYERN got a freekick which was hit by Hakan Diehm. If Jens Ohmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched 1.FC BAYERN eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
