Karlo Carnitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cem Kerber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. When Clint Hocker in the 23rd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Calvin Oswald kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 29 minutes into the match, Kai Mauz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Calvin Oswald, 2-1. In the 37th minute Clint Hocker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calvin Oswald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christoph Königs's late challenge caught a Wemmatia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the last second Calvin Oswald throw himself and got hold of the ball when Clint Hocker in the 45thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 46 minutes of play Altengesees's Christoph Königs was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After having played for 51 minutes, Kai Mauz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altengesees's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kai Mauz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Lothar Riedel notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Altengesees's Cem Kerber. Cem Kerber was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karlo Carnitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Altengesees's goalkeeper Cem Kerber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lothar Riedel. 61 minutes into the game, Lothar Riedel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cem Kerber. Wemmatia's Calvin Oswald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kai Mauz in the 71st minute of play. Cem Kerber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 79 played minutes Wemmatia got a freekick which was hit by Salvatore Rodekamp. Lothar Riedel didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-5 via right post in the game's 84th minute. Wemmatia's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The audience thought a goal was coming when Lothar Riedel got free with Cem Kerber in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Wemmatia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
