Spectators: 7448 (Terracing: 5587, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) Göschitz FC's Torsten Müller started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes of play, Göschitz FC's Jean Schenkel made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Nievelstein was left in no man's land by his defense there! Trochtelfingen's Hemmo Dommert got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute Torsten Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Nievelstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Ingo Schwaiger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Göschitz FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Kester Zimmermann's late challenge caught a Trochtelfingen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kester Zimmermann helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Göschitz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kester Zimmermann to maneuver through the defense. Dante Nievelstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Müller in the 25th minute of play. Waldemar Ehlen hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Dirk Meyer from long distance, 32 minutes into the match, got Dante Nievelstein's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Peter Gehling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Hemmo Dommert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Trochtelfingen's Hemmo Dommert in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Göschitz FC's goalie prevented a goal.

Trochtelfingen's Dante Nievelstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torsten Müller in the 53rd minute of play. Ralf Grupe kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Trochtelfingen got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Ehlen. Dante Nievelstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingo Schwaiger in the 60th minute of play. After some careless play in the Trochtelfingen defense, Ingo Schwaiger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Nievelstein. The Trochtelfingen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Nievelstein should have stopped the shot. Ingo Schwaiger hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Hemmo Dommert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eberhard Cardinale having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Göschitz FC's zone, Hemmo Dommert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eberhard Cardinale came out of the goal and Hemmo Dommert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingo Schwaiger hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Dante Nievelstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Müller, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Peter Gehling blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eberhard Cardinale having to make a save. If Pascal Wörner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pascal Wörner came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Trochtelfingen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascal Wörner couldn't finish the play. Hemmo Dommert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Eberhard Cardinale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Trochtelfingen's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Trochtelfingen may have spent more time on the ball, but Göschitz FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
