Mads Abschatz kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Falk Veigel came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by 1.FC BAYERN's Marco Vosswinkel. But to his dismay, Marco Vosswinkel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marco Vosswinkel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christoph Bollerey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benni Erdogan in the 46th minute of play. If Benni Erdogan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jannes Thommes to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in 1.FC BAYERN's zone, Benni Erdogan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christoph Bollerey came out of the goal and Benni Erdogan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62ndth minute of the game Arndt Riester who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1.FC BAYERN's Christoph Bollerey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Stephan Leyh came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Vikings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephan Leyh couldn't finish the play. Arndt Riester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Christoph Bollerey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Arndt Riester got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Benni Erdogan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of 1.FC BAYERN booed when Vikings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephan Leyh didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marco Vosswinkel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 played minutes Vikings got a freekick which was hit by Jonah von Dreusche. Vikings were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
