Hendrik Westerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunatus Vengels having to interfere. Rainer Paschens short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Fortunatus Vengels to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Horanspor's zone, Hendrik Westerman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunatus Vengels came out of the goal and Hendrik Westerman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Murat Gall hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Hendrik Westerman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horanspor's Fortunatus Vengels was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fortunatus Vengels didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dennis Mam Rostami Boukani went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Fortunatus Vengels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hendrik Westerman in the 24th minute of play. If Ali Witt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Horanspor's Ali Witt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Johannes Kunter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 39th minute of the match Patrick Farber sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fortunatus Vengels skillfully saved the ball. Dennis Mam Rostami Boukani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dennis Mam Rostami Boukani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Fortunatus Vengels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Horanspor getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Erwin Gröner hit a great ball.

FC Mikel's Johannes Kunter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save FC Mikel from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the game, Ali Witt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johannes Kunter. Ali Witt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Mam Rostami Boukani in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fortunatus Vengels saved Horanspor from getting behind. Murat Gall charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murat Gall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Horanspor getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Murat Gall hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Dennis Mam Rostami Boukani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fortunatus Vengels was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Hendrik Westerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Hendrik Westerman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fortunatus Vengels. Horanspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hendrik Westerman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Fortunatus Vengels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hendrik Westerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The audience was convinced that Hendrik Westerman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fortunatus Vengels was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. After some careless play in the Horanspor defense, Dennis Mam Rostami Boukani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fortunatus Vengels. The Horanspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fortunatus Vengels should have stopped the shot. FC Mikel walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
