Edward Bruns started the match with the kick off. Lars Rehmet's late challenge caught a Allstars Dortmund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lars Rehmet helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Aljoscha von Stetten took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Klement Klinkmüller to make any attempt to save it. Frank Hofmeier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Lionel Lantz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ben Kläser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Bruns in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lionel Lantz saved Allstars Dortmund from getting behind. In the 23rdth minute of the game Frank Hofmeier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Allstars Dortmund's Lionel Lantz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lionel Lantz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Bruns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lukas Kimpel kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Lionel Lantz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Hofmeier in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Hilmar Thees hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Bruns in the 38th minute of play forced Allstars Dortmund's goalkeeper Lionel Lantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Ben Kläser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aljoscha von Stetten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ben Kläser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Bruns in the 58th minute of play forced Allstars Dortmund's goalkeeper Lionel Lantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Allstars Dortmund's Ivo Wilbois got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The long shot by Tillmann Werner in the 63rd minute really tested Lionel Lantz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 65th minute Edward Bruns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lionel Lantz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Posinski during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edward Bruns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Allstars Dortmund's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Frank Hofmeier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of RafKas 2008 booed when Allstars Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rainer Minten didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Edward Bruns came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the RafKas 2008 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Bruns couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Aljoscha von Stetten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Klement Klinkmüller was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Allstars Dortmund fans cheered their team off the field, for while RafKas 2008 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
