After 40 minutes of play, Storp's Hansjörg Kala made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lionel Lantz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hansjörg Kala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Lantz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Allstars Dortmund's zone, Hansjörg Kala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lionel Lantz came out of the goal and Hansjörg Kala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hansjörg Kala stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Aljoscha von Stetten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harold Gelb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Storp's supporters rose to their feet, but Theodor Behnke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lionel Lantz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th match minute, Allstars Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rainer Minten to maneuver through the defense. Storp's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
