The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ben Kläser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Viktor Hackert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Frederik Schulz put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lionel Lantz. Aljoscha von Stetten scored 2-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viktor Hackert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lionel Lantz made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Frederik Schulz sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Allstars Dortmund getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Rainer Minten hit a great ball. Ben Kläser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute Ben Kläser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Hackert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Aljoscha von Stetten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Allstars Dortmund's supporters rose to their feet, but Aljoscha von Stetten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viktor Hackert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Lionel Lantz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulus Rusche, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Allstars Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Paulus Rusche came free, but Lionel Lantz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
