Ben Kläser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Sören Schütze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sören Schütze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aljoscha von Stetten, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Aljoscha von Stetten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sören Schütze read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Allstars Dortmund's Lionel Lantz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Seider in the 56th minute of play. Allstars Dortmund's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
