Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The corner led Lokimotive Leipzig's Leon Sauter to fire away a dangerous shot which Eberhard Baur despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Boris Teuwen came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by VfL Tegel's Eugen Spanehl. But to his dismay, Eugen Spanehl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 21 minutes into the game, Niels Pelzer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Eberhard Baur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind VfL Tegel's goalkeeper Eberhard Baur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Boris Teuwen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hartmut Störmer in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match, Eugen Spanehl got a very nice opportunity to score, but Boris Teuwen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Boris Teuwen made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Eugen Spanehl sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kai Kreter during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of VfL Tegel booed when Lokimotive Leipzig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kai Kreter didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Lokimotive Leipzig's goalkeeper Boris Teuwen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugen Spanehl. Lauritz Ballhaus kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. A hard shot by Frank Groll from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Boris Teuwen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carl Meier during the 38th minute. Eberhard Baur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The VfL Tegel players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lokimotive Leipzig were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karlo Schindler to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karlo Schindler in the 51st minute of play forced VfL Tegel's goalkeeper Eberhard Baur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwin Weißbach hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. If Patrick-Marc Hülsmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Patrick-Marc Hülsmann came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Lokimotive Leipzig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick-Marc Hülsmann couldn't finish the play. If Kaspar Nord had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, VfL Tegel's goal looked a bit too open when Niels Pelzer came free, but Eberhard Baur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by VfL Tegel's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leon Sauter was slow to take the kick. During this time Lokimotive Leipzig's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Leon Sauter almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but VfL Tegel's Eberhard Baur did a great save. Boris Teuwen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carl Meier went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Jan Wohlfart struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Boris Teuwen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VfL Tegel. When Eugen Spanehl came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the VfL Tegel fans jumped to their feet. Karlo Schindler in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eberhard Baur, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Many of Lokimotive Leipzig's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Lokimotive Leipzig may have spent more time on the ball, but VfL Tegel were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
