The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dietbald Mutzel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Knauf in the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Arne Plückebaum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Allensbach in the 11th minute of play forced Tümlauer Koog FSV's goalkeeper Dietbald Mutzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dietbald Mutzel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Allensbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Dietbald Mutzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Allensbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Stierstadt FSV getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ferdi Wirth hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the game, Otto Knauf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dietbald Mutzel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 36th minute of the match, Timo Konerding got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jan Kreibisch was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 38 minutes in the game, Reinhold Denzin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jan Kreibisch having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Stierstadt FSV got a freekick which was hit by Ferdi Wirth. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Reinhold Denzin made the kick off in the second half. Iker Ewen charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iker Ewen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Iker Ewen hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Tümlauer Koog FSV's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Hannes Rösler 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Iker Ewen kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. If Otto Knauf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Stierstadt FSV booed when Tümlauer Koog FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olivier Bethge didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 70 played minutes Stierstadt FSV got a freekick which was hit by Hannes Rösler. In the 73rd minute Reinhold Denzin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Kreibisch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Kreibisch came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Tümlauer Koog FSV's Rolf Quick. But to his dismay, Rolf Quick quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Anton Allensbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dietbald Mutzel having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Tümlauer Koog FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Allensbach came free, but Dietbald Mutzel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dietbald Mutzel didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Stierstadt FSV's Hannes Rösler shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Hannes Rösler was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Stierstadt FSV's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 89th minute, Otto Knauf left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stierstadt FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinhold Denzin in the 94th minute of play forced Stierstadt FSV's goalkeeper Jan Kreibisch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Stierstadt FSV left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tümlauer Koog FSV.
