Bookhorn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renato Thaumüller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Wendelin Kuntz was a little too slow when Guillaume Pronold got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. 19 minutes into the match, Dölzschen's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Holthuis came free, but Frank-Dieter Reißig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Fredrik Buß shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank-Dieter Reißig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Bookhorn booed when Dölzschen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerd Walloch didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Özcan Rösler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Frank-Dieter Reißig was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Friedemann Hewerer's late challenge caught a Dölzschen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Gerd Walloch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dölzschen's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerd Walloch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wendelin Kuntz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillaume Pronold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 41 minutes, Jakob Brockmüller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bookhorn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jakob Brockmüller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Fredrik Buß ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frank-Dieter Reißig was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Fredrik Buß received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Frank-Dieter Reißig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Dölzschen's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Holthuis came free, but Frank-Dieter Reißig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fredrik Buß to strike the kick off in the second half. Dölzschen's Gerd Walloch got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Bookhorn's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Thaumüller came free, but Wendelin Kuntz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Özcan Rösler came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Bookhorn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Özcan Rösler couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the match, Dölzschen's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Buß came free, but Frank-Dieter Reißig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bookhorn's Wendelin Kuntz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dustin Borkowski in the 68th minute of play. When Christoph Still fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dölzschen's protests and gave Christoph Still a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, Dölzschen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lennart Holthuis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some careless play in the Dölzschen defense, Lennart Holthuis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank-Dieter Reißig. The Dölzschen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank-Dieter Reißig should have stopped the shot. Lennart Holthuis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Frank-Dieter Reißig made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Frank-Dieter Reißig successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 84th match minute, Bookhorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Holthuis to maneuver through the defense. With splendid footwork Fredrik Buß arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-4 by the left pole in the game's 86th minute. In the 90th minute Renato Thaumüller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wendelin Kuntz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute Dustin Borkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wendelin Kuntz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bookhorn walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
