Adriano Knorra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Esau Preuße in the 3rd minute. Esau Preuße who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Adriano Knorra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Nicolai Domeier fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Piggie's protests and gave Nicolai Domeier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, FC Piggie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolai Domeier to maneuver through the defense. Eilert von Puttkammer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leander Schachow having to interfere. In the 17th minute Piet Notz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Knorra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 played minutes FC Piggie got a freekick which was hit by Nicolai Domeier. Esau Preuße sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Piggie's Adriano Knorra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pitt Gross in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Piggie's Gregor Roth got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederik Dröge in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Piggie's goalkeeper Adriano Knorra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Welkershausen FSV's Pitt Gross got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dante Mersmann made a kick off. Pitt Gross fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Knorra having to interfere. Dante Mersmann scored 1-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leander Schachow, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Dante Mersmann in the 59th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Leander Schachow kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-2 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. After 62 played minutes Welkershausen FSV got a freekick which was hit by Baldur Degen. Leander Schachow made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolai Domeier in the 77th minute. If Pitt Gross had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Mersmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leander Schachow read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to Welkershausen FSV getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Piet Notz hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Thorben Tandler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Pitt Gross left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Welkershausen FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
