The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Curt Zutt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörn Blassel in the 15th minute of the match. Curt Zutt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaap Geenen in the 16th minute of play. Curt Zutt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olaf Humbert went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olaf Humbert to strike the kick off in the second half. Jaap Geenen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Curt Zutt made a huge save. In the 56th match minute, Niederkell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samon Bischoff to maneuver through the defense. Tobias Scheuch charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tobias Scheuch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Niederkell's Curt Zutt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olaf Humbert in the 79th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaap Geenen got free with Curt Zutt in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 83 minutes into the match, Moselkern's Jaap Geenen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Curt Zutt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Oliver Rohde struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Curt Zutt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moselkern. Curt Zutt made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Jaap Geenen sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Hippo Winterhalter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Curt Zutt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Curt Zutt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaap Geenen in the 95th minute. Moselkern's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
