Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Marco Kau started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Raimund Genzwürker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Kau in the 9th minute of play. Kölner Sportverein's Carl Bauriegel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andre Brandl in the 11th minute of play. Unterelsaff FC's Darius Schönmoser got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alois Krenn during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 played minutes Unterelsaff FC got a freekick which was hit by Alois Krenn. The supporters of Kölner Sportverein booed when Unterelsaff FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darius Schönmoser didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Andre Brandl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andre Brandl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Bauriegel having to interfere. The supporters of Unterelsaff FC booed when Kölner Sportverein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Bergmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Darius Schönmoser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kölner Sportverein's goalkeeper Carl Bauriegel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Kölner Sportverein's Folke Johannsen got a free kick in the 38th minute. Raimund Genzwürker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Kau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th match minute, Unterelsaff FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Melle to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andre Brandl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Andre Brandl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Darius Schönmoser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Kölner Sportverein's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Brandl came free, but Carl Bauriegel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andre Brandl in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carl Bauriegel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Marco Kau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kölner Sportverein's Günter Hambloch got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carl Bauriegel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andre Brandl, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Unterelsaff FC's Darius Schönmoser in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kölner Sportverein's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Unterelsaff FC's Raimund Genzwürker got control of the ball when Günter Hambloch tried to sneak it across the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Marco Kau recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Raimund Genzwürker. Marco Kau showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Darius Schönmoser blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carl Bauriegel having to make a save. Alois Krenn kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Gerold Amsel hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. When Andre Brandl came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Unterelsaff FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andre Brandl couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Gerold Amsel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
