Dellerhof's supporters rose to their feet, but Henning Bierwirth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Frohwein breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Dellerhof's Theophil Brugger slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafael Frohwein. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. The supporters of Rupennest booed when Dellerhof was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Pfirrmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Gismund Heidingsfelder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philipp Schreiber in the 32nd minute of play forced Dellerhof's goalkeeper Egbert Fedde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Philipp Schreiber to strike the kick off in the second half. Gismund Heidingsfelder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Egbert Fedde made a huge save. After having played for 61 minutes, Theophil Brugger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dellerhof's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theophil Brugger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Egbert Fedde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gismund Heidingsfelder in the 62nd minute. Rafael Frohwein came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Dellerhof's Theophil Brugger. But to his dismay, Theophil Brugger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Dellerhof's zone, Philipp Schreiber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egbert Fedde came out of the goal and Philipp Schreiber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Rupennest's Gismund Heidingsfelder got a free kick in the 74th minute. Philipp Schreiber charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philipp Schreiber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Philipp Schreiber hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Krister Marx during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th minute of the match Horst März shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafael Frohwein showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Egbert Fedde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philipp Schreiber in the 91st minute of play. Theophil Brugger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Rafael Frohwein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Mengel charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Mengel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Rupennest's José Mengel got a free kick in the 97th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rupennest players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dellerhof.
