Süsel's Dennis Mensinger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Hinz in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Hinz in the 8th minute of play forced Süsel's goalkeeper Dennis Mensinger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Derk Hoppen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vlado Fischer in the 9th minute of play. Peter-Michael Boxberger took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dennis Mensinger. Dennis Mensinger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jona Gretter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Derk Hoppen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Süsel's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Hinz came free, but Dennis Mensinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Friedrich Karl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Derk Hoppen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Delron Däschner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Derk Hoppen was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Dennis Mensinger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Hinz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Delron Däschner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Peter-Michael Boxberger fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hinterm Esch FSV's protests and gave Peter-Michael Boxberger a yellow card for diving instead. Derk Hoppen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jona Gretter's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Dennis Mensinger came out of the goal and Peter-Michael Boxberger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Friedrich Karl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, one of Hinterm Esch FSV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hinterm Esch FSV. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Süsel. Henning Jonas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Derk Hoppen. 1-3. In the 83rd minute, Ole Striegel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dennis Mensinger was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. 87 minutes into the match, Süsel's goalkeeper Dennis Mensinger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ole Striegel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Hinz in the 88th minute of play forced Süsel's goalkeeper Dennis Mensinger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Hinterm Esch FSV's Herbert Hinz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dennis Mensinger. Vlado Fischer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derk Hoppen having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delron Däschner in the 99th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Derk Hoppen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Derk Hoppen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Friedrich Karl in the 101st minute of play. The Süsel supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hinterm Esch FSV's performance. The match ended with a win for Hinterm Esch FSV.
