Klaas Burgdorf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Derk Hoppen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ole Striegel couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Hinz in the 91st minute of play forced SV Igling's goalkeeper Eliah Pluta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ole Striegel succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hinterm Esch FSV had won after a very even match.
