The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kai Mütsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horst Dürr having to interfere. FC Hawaii's Horst Dürr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Grüne in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of FC Hawaii booed when Beulbar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes Ehinger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hristo Rieker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulus Fechner in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Nikolaus Cayrol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Hawaii fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a little luck, Beulbar's Hristo Rieker got control of the ball when Nikolaus Cayrol tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kai Mütsch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Beulbar getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Rio Milch hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Beulbar's goalkeeper Hristo Rieker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronald Sieger. In the 39th minute of the match Klara Hofmeier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hristo Rieker skillfully saved the ball. Nikolaus Cayrol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Hristo Rieker made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josef Grüne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ronald Sieger struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Hristo Rieker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Hawaii. In the 59th minute, Georg Krebs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hristo Rieker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Werner Korff in the 72nd minute of the match. If Nikolaus Cayrol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. One of FC Hawaii:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Beulbar:s goal. Rio Milch charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
