The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, RB Gladbach 93's goalkeeper Wolfram Ostendorff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johannes Schlimm. In the 6th minute Kristian Gebhard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esra Seyler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. RB Gladbach 93's Wolfram Ostendorff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunter Heil in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of RB Gladbach 93 booed when KSC-Allstars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Kläser didn't get a good kick on the ball. KSC-Allstars's Esra Seyler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Gebhard in the 10th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Albert Kläser took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Wolfram Ostendorff to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaman Schwarz in the 15th minute of play forced KSC-Allstars's goalkeeper Esra Seyler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of KSC-Allstars booed when RB Gladbach 93 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bert Meibeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Johannes Schlimm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marlon Sichelstiel hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Artur Bergmeister sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and KSC-Allstars's Esra Seyler didn't even have to move. 30 minutes into the game, Kristian Gebhard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Esra Seyler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaman Schwarz in the 33rd minute of play forced KSC-Allstars's goalkeeper Esra Seyler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamit Aretz hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 47th match minute, KSC-Allstars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Helmut Lemke to maneuver through the defense. Artur Bergmeister was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kristian Gebhard to make the kick off. Bert Meibeck charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bert Meibeck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Gunter Heil managed to get in a good position for a shot. KSC-Allstars's supporters rose to their feet, but Gunter Heil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wolfram Ostendorff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the game, Reinhard Dutzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KSC-Allstars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RB Gladbach 93 the free kick. Reinhard Dutzi kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. With a little luck, KSC-Allstars's Esra Seyler got control of the ball when Zaman Schwarz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gunter Heil hit a great ball. Wolfram Ostendorff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunter Heil in the 72nd minute of the match. Wolfram Ostendorff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to RB Gladbach 93 getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Mats Harms hit a great ball. Wolfram Ostendorff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Steinkogler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esra Seyler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zaman Schwarz went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Gunter Heil took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wolfram Ostendorff. Wolfram Ostendorff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Bert Meibeck kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Esra Seyler. That made the score 4-4 in the 93 minute of play. Esra Seyler made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Zaman Schwarz sent off a good shot on target. In the 98th minute, Gunter Heil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KSC-Allstars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-4. KSC-Allstars's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
