The supporters of SG Aulendorf booed when Wittensand FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Bandmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Theo Kleszczs short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Reto Kassube to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Reto Kassube made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Wrenger in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Wittensand FC got a freekick which was hit by Harm Eisenhauer. Mark Wrenger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reto Kassube read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Theo Kleszcz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reto Kassube having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Harm Eisenhauer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wittensand FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SG Aulendorf the free kick. The corner ended in Mark Wrenger almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wittensand FC's Reto Kassube did a great save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mark Wrenger made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Kunibert Ruge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Thimm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Theo Kleszcz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reto Kassube having to interfere. Mark Wrenger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harm Eisenhauer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Wittensand FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Henning Wegmann's late challenge caught a Wittensand FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henning Wegmann helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SG Aulendorf getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Henning Wegmann hit a great ball. Reto Kassube showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Wrenger in the 65th minute of the match. Wittensand FC's Wilfried Ditsche got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Mischa Merod managed to get in a good position for a shot. SG Aulendorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Mischa Merod was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reto Kassube breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Theo Kleszcz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Arminius Thum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mark Wrenger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, SG Aulendorf's Mark Wrenger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reto Kassube made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 82nd match minute, Wittensand FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adonis Breul to maneuver through the defense.
