A beautiful save bye RB Gladbach 93's goalie prevented a goal. Wolfram Ostendorff made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Nikolaus Cayrol sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Walther Reckmaier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horst Dürr was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Wolfram Ostendorff didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronald Sieger went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Paulus Fechner kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. RB Gladbach 93's Wolfram Ostendorff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Werner Korff in the 32nd minute of play. Wolfram Ostendorff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Werner Korff in the 34th minute of play. After 36 minutes of play, FC Hawaii's Nikolaus Cayrol made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wolfram Ostendorff was left in no man's land by his defense there! Robert Nierlein took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Horst Dürr. FC Hawaii's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Wolfram Ostendorff successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walther Reckmaier to strike the kick off in the second half. Walther Reckmaier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zaman Schwarz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Horst Dürr made a huge save. After 54 played minutes RB Gladbach 93 got a freekick which was hit by Zaman Schwarz. Wolfram Ostendorff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Werner Korff in the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Gerrit Graf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RB Gladbach 93's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Hawaii the free kick. After 57 played minutes RB Gladbach 93 got a freekick which was hit by Gerrit Graf. Werner Korff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Wolfram Ostendorff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Nikolaus Cayrol made a precise shot to the right of Wolfram Ostendorff. RB Gladbach 93's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Nikolaus Cayrol struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Wolfram Ostendorff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Hawaii. In the 84th minute Werner Korff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolfram Ostendorff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
