Ty Murmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uwe Mehring, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Hamburger Sport-Verein's Ty Murmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uwe Mehring in the 40th minute of play. Wolfgang Laudan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Tim Campen notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Welterod's Rainer Fesseler. Rainer Fesseler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Welterod players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ty Murmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wolfgang Laudan in the 84th minute of play. Joachim Hangl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ty Murmann having to make a save. If Jörg Ngo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Welterod's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
