Ty Murmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Krotz in the 3rd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Hamburger Sport-Verein's goal looked a bit too open when Uffe Nölting came free, but Ty Murmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 minutes of play, OFK Bratstvo's Fred Krotz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ty Murmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Fritz Knappe got free with Ayman Klopp in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ty Murmann came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by OFK Bratstvo's Fred Krotz. But to his dismay, Fred Krotz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some careless play in the OFK Bratstvo defense, Erwin Berge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ayman Klopp. The OFK Bratstvo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ayman Klopp should have stopped the shot. 36 minutes into the match, OFK Bratstvo's goalkeeper Ayman Klopp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fritz Knappe. Uffe Nölting might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ty Murmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Uffe Nölting ran back to his position shaking his head. After a long run with the ball, Fred Krotz did a trick in the 41st minute in front of Hamburger Sport-Verein's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-3. An impressive performance by OFK Bratstvo's Fred Krotz! Fritz-Wilhelm Bokor kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, OFK Bratstvo's goal looked a bit too open when Tim Campen came free, but Ayman Klopp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Tim Campen made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Fred Krotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ty Murmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erwin Berge charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erwin Berge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 60 minutes into the match, Fred Krotz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ty Murmann, 1-4. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Uffe Nölting took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Ty Murmann to make any attempt to save it. Ty Murmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Krotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamburger Sport-Verein's goalkeeper Ty Murmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Hamburger Sport-Verein booed when OFK Bratstvo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yannis Hoss didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fritz Knappe in the 95th minute of play forced OFK Bratstvo's goalkeeper Ayman Klopp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The OFK Bratstvo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
