Spectators: 7924 (Terracing: 5988, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Franco Galen started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Boris Polenz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Union Solingen's Philipp Olowka. Philipp Olowka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sigmund Gerat charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sigmund Gerat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 minutes of play, Union Solingen's Marco Weste made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alessandro Donnerbauer was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th match minute, Fritzdorf FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudolf Arnold to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Franco Galen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Philipp Olowka. That made the score 2-1 in the 25 minute of play. Alessandro Donnerbauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johan Korell in the 29th minute of the match. Alessandro Donnerbauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Altvater, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lukas Jordan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Fritzdorf FSV's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 38 minutes into the match, Fritzdorf FSV's Franco Galen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Philipp Olowka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alessandro Donnerbauer came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Union Solingen's Johan Korell. But to his dismay, Johan Korell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 44th minute Marco Weste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Donnerbauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Union Solingen's Philipp Olowka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Arnold in the 45th minute of play. Mario Lung kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Marco Weste's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alessandro Donnerbauer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Franco Galen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philipp Olowka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johan Korell was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Johan Korell was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Union Solingen's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marcel Rottstaedt kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Marco Weste could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Alessandro Donnerbauer made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franco Galen in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philipp Olowka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Fritzdorf FSV's Alessandro Donnerbauer got control of the ball when Marco Weste tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Johan Korell took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Alessandro Donnerbauer to make any attempt to save it. Alessandro Donnerbauer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mario Lung showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 84 minute of play. Fritzdorf FSV's Alessandro Donnerbauer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Fritzdorf FSV from getting a goal against them. Marco Weste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Donnerbauer having to interfere. In the 96th minute Johan Korell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Donnerbauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Union Solingen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
