Manuel Grabs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Weste went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Johan Korell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 19 minutes into the match, Pleysteiner Landeier's goalkeeper Manuel Grabs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Weste. In the 30th minute, Pascal Mevenkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Weste's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Grabs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Weste got free with Manuel Grabs in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Grabs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johan Korell's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Johan Korell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johan Korell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Grabs having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Pleysteiner Landeier's goalkeeper Manuel Grabs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Weste. When Union Solingen's Johan Korell in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pleysteiner Landeier's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Union Solingen's zone, Gunter Urbanek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philipp Olowka came out of the goal and Gunter Urbanek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Grabs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Altvater, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Johan Korell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Grabs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Johan Korell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolf Lindlohr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marco Weste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Johan Korell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Weste might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Grabs. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Weste ran back to his position shaking his head. Marco Weste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Manuel Grabs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pleysteiner Landeier's Manuel Grabs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Weste in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Marco Weste made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Grabs. Pleysteiner Landeier's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Pleysteiner Landeier's Horst Machold got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Weste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Grabs having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Union Solingen had played much better football throughout.
