Paulo Bier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mirko Damm having to interfere. Heiko Olk got a throw-in 20 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Karl Szurmant. Mirko Damm was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stanislaus Haußmann showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. After a rather tough play, TSG Leiferde's Niels Odemer got a free kick in the 28th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sixten Graf was the one to do the kick off. Paulo Bier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mirko Damm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 59thth minute of the game Kornelius Hens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TSG Leiferde's Mirko Damm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zinédine Schlumberger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velten Wenzel in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, HSVHamburg's Georges Söbbe got a free kick in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanislaus Haußmann in the 90th minute of play forced TSG Leiferde's goalkeeper Mirko Damm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Stanislaus Haußmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirko Damm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. TSG Leiferde's Mirko Damm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kornelius Hens in the 98th minute of play. HSVHamburg walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
