In the 3rd minute, Boris Moll got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 6th minute, Viktor Stehmer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lechia 1945 FFM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Ephraim Rexhaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute Ingvar Heintz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jürgen Bonesky saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Lechia 1945 FFM's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Heintz came free, but Jürgen Bonesky reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Lechia 1945 FFM's goalkeeper Jürgen Bonesky had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torben Weigelt. In the 21st minute, Arpad Ernesti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Viktor Stehmer took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erik Scherhag. Erik Scherhag dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Viktor Stehmer struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Erik Scherhag didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lechia 1945 FFM. After 28 minutes, Ephraim Rexhaus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eintracht Frankfurt and the Lechia 1945 FFM players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ephraim Rexhaus kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Lechia 1945 FFM's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Heintz came free, but Jürgen Bonesky reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aydin Bischoff scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erik Scherhag, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Erik Scherhag showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Stehmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Ingvar Heintz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ingvar Heintz was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th match minute, Lechia 1945 FFM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Stehmer to maneuver through the defense. After 52 minutes, Eusebius Hammer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eintracht Frankfurt and the Lechia 1945 FFM players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Eintracht Frankfurt got a freekick which was hit by Eusebius Hammer. When Enno Renn fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lechia 1945 FFM's protests and gave Enno Renn a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lechia 1945 FFM's Enno Renn got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute Torben Weigelt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jürgen Bonesky saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jürgen Bonesky came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Eintracht Frankfurt's Torben Weigelt. But to his dismay, Torben Weigelt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Lutz Hilgers hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gideon Leuschner got free with Erik Scherhag in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jürgen Bonesky showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Heintz, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Eusebius Hammer hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Jürgen Bonesky took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Heintz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Lechia 1945 FFM's goal looked a bit too open when Torben Weigelt came free, but Jürgen Bonesky reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herrmann Plaaten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Scherhag having to interfere. Ingvar Heintz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ingvar Heintz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jürgen Bonesky tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jürgen Bonesky showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Heintz in the 80th minute of the match. Erik Scherhag was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gideon Leuschner showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 81 minute of play. The supporters of Lechia 1945 FFM booed when Eintracht Frankfurt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naohiro Nietan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jürgen Bonesky made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torben Weigelt in the 89th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Lechia 1945 FFM's Viktor Stehmer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erik Scherhag made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. The Eintracht Frankfurt supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lechia 1945 FFM's performance. The match ended with a win for Lechia 1945 FFM.
