Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ingvar Heintz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Torben Weigelt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Froehlich having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Jascha Faber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boris Moll hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Erik Scherhag was a little too slow when Manfred Manzewski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. Torben Weigelt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Froehlich having to interfere. Erik Scherhag was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Louis Michel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Louis Michel really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 20 minutes into the game, Kickers Lintfort's Louis Michel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erik Scherhag made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Mattias Froehlich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torben Weigelt in the 23rd minute of play. Erik Scherhag showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfred Manzewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Boris Moll hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Eintracht Frankfurt's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Manfred Manzewski scored to the left of an out of position Erik Scherhag, making the score, 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boris Moll in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mattias Froehlich prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Eintracht Frankfurt's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Manzewski came free, but Erik Scherhag reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Kickers Lintfort's Erik Scherhag threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sebastian Danczyk, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ingvar Heintz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Froehlich having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Manfred Manzewski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erik Scherhag. That made the score 5-0 in the 46 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manfred Manzewski was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Eintracht Frankfurt's goal looked a bit too open when Louis Michel came free, but Erik Scherhag reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Benjamin Nolte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torben Weigelt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Froehlich having to interfere. Ingvar Heintz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kickers Lintfort's zone, Boris Moll stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Froehlich came out of the goal and Boris Moll tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute of the match Udo Urgien sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mattias Froehlich skillfully saved the ball. Erik Scherhag showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thoralf Holl in the 60th minute of the match. Erik Scherhag made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Michel in the 63rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Boris Moll kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mattias Froehlich. That made the score 5-1 in the 64 minute of play. In the 68th minute, Eintracht Frankfurt's Torben Weigelt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-2. A collision led to Kickers Lintfort getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Jascha Faber hit a great ball. Volkmar Glatzer kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Kickers Lintfort booed when Eintracht Frankfurt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Moll didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 minutes, Louis Michel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kickers Lintfort and the Eintracht Frankfurt players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kickers Lintfort's Mattias Froehlich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Heintz in the 82nd minute of play. Erik Scherhag showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louis Michel, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Eintracht Frankfurt's Erik Scherhag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Michel in the 89th minute of play. Kickers Lintfort were furious when Opus Ziener was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kickers Lintfort! The referee gave Eintracht Frankfurt a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ingvar Heintz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kickers Lintfort's Mattias Froehlich. 5-3.
