Arp Menzel hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. A hard shot 10 in the game by Alexander Bermudez from a close distance when the talented Gerd Borretty managed to make a qualified save. Neu Holthausen's players were relieved. In the 11th minute, Alexander Bermudez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerd Borretty was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Alexander Bermudez scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerd Borretty, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gerd Borretty made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Alexander Bermudez sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Neu Holthausen getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Nils Genz hit a great ball. After 22 played minutes 1. SG Union Frankfurt got a freekick which was hit by Gerald Greilich. Gerd Borretty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Bermudez in the 26th minute of the match. Alexander Bermudez did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Gerd Borretty 29 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, 1. SG Union Frankfurt's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Raich came free, but Marcus Oppermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute of the game, 박 온 landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Nils Genz fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Neu Holthausen's protests and gave Nils Genz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, Neu Holthausen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Genz to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Oppermann came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Neu Holthausen's Luke Raich. But to his dismay, Luke Raich quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After a rather tough play, 1. SG Union Frankfurt's Mattes Münn got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Marcus Oppermann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke Raich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerd Borretty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Bermudez, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexander Bermudez to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerald Greilich during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Neu Holthausen booed when 1. SG Union Frankfurt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerald Greilich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerald Greilich got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Gerald Greilich kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Nils Genz took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Marcus Oppermann to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Raich in the 68th minute of play forced 1. SG Union Frankfurt's goalkeeper Marcus Oppermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for 1. SG Union Frankfurt! When the match had been going on for 69 minutes, Neu Holthausen's Arp Menzel got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marcus Oppermann. 1. SG Union Frankfurt's Marcus Oppermann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save 1. SG Union Frankfurt from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, 1. SG Union Frankfurt's Mattes Münn got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Gerd Borretty breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Bermudez in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerd Borretty prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Nils Genz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcus Oppermann. That made the score 3-6 in the 86 minute of play. 1. SG Union Frankfurt made a substitution. Karl Martin Lewandowski replaced Nils Jütte. Neu Holthausen's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
