Siebenbergen's Hansjürgen Kumpf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berthold Steidl in the 17th minute of play. Hermann Zwingel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Hansjürgen Kumpf made a huge save. Hansjürgen Kumpf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Renger in the 21st minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Hermann Zwingel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Union Berlin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The supporters of Union Berlin booed when Siebenbergen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Ngo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hansjürgen Kumpf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vico Haußdörfer, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Union Berlin's Ariel Renger slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hansjürgen Kumpf. That made the score 5-0 after 36 minutes of play. Siebenbergen's Hansjürgen Kumpf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Siebenbergen from getting a goal against them. Hansjürgen Kumpf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Renger, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Siebenbergen's goalkeeper Hansjürgen Kumpf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermann Zwingel. Anthony Töller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reik Peeger having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anthony Töller made a kick off. Siebenbergen's Hansjürgen Kumpf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Renger in the 57th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Union Berlin's zone, Anthony Töller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reik Peeger came out of the goal and Anthony Töller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 64 played minutes Siebenbergen got a freekick which was hit by Lennert Göttling. Flavio Ritter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hansjürgen Kumpf having to make a save. Hermann Zwingel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hansjürgen Kumpf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vico Haußdörfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hansjürgen Kumpf having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Siebenbergen's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Renger came free, but Hansjürgen Kumpf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th match minute, Union Berlin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrich Pentrup to maneuver through the defense. Lennert Göttling, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Hansjürgen Kumpf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermann Zwingel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hansjürgen Kumpf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Renger in the 79th minute of play. Hansjürgen Kumpf didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermann Zwingel went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Reik Peeger made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Anthony Töller sent off a good shot on target. Hansjürgen Kumpf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Dittrich in the 95th minute of the match. Union Berlin's Reik Peeger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Union Berlin from getting a goal against them.
