Robert Brandau kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Manfred Polster sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Oeverich's Rudolf Sebastiany didn't even have to move. Rudolf Sebastiany took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Henke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Oeverich's goal looked a bit too open when Yavuz Mohs came free, but Rudolf Sebastiany reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carl Franiel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Oeverich's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Henke came free, but Rudolf Sebastiany reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils Graumenz hit a great ball. After 79 minutes, Dennis Schwabenthan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oeverich and the BAYER players grew even worse after the yellow card. A sloppy throw-in by Ludger Lachmann in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Oeverich's Niclas Schnuphase. Armin Dehn hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Rudolf Sebastiany made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Yavuz Mohs sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manfred Polster got free with Rudolf Sebastiany in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Oeverich fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BAYER were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
