An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Henke in the 17th minute of play forced Jeerhof FSV's goalkeeper Reiner Jaksch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BAYER's Patrick Granitza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heiko Sill in the 20th minute of play. If Tobias Henke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of BAYER booed when Jeerhof FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Hönes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrick Granitza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heiko Sill, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Reiner Jaksch was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Manfred Polster. If Raoul Erler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raoul Erler scored 2-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrick Granitza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute, BAYER's Tobias Henke ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Reiner Jaksch. Reiner Jaksch yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. BAYER's Yavuz Mohs was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 72nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Jeerhof FSV's Reiner Jaksch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Jeerhof FSV from getting a goal against them. Tobias Gabe kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Tobias Henke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reiner Jaksch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, James Schmieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Gabe kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Raoul Erler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Granitza. BAYER's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raoul Erler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Patrick Granitza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from James Schmieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When Tobias Henke fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BAYER's protests and gave Tobias Henke a yellow card for diving instead. Tobias Henke hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. BAYER succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Jeerhof FSV had controlled the match.
