Großgerstetten's José Römer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Demitter in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Edzard Pajewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Huxel FSV's zone, Chris Götze stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guntram Steinberg came out of the goal and Chris Götze tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the game, Edzard Pajewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Huxel FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Großgerstetten the free kick. In the 24th minute, Edzard Pajewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Huxel FSV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Fynn Freund scored to the left of an out of position Guntram Steinberg, making the score, 2-0. After 30 played minutes Huxel FSV got a freekick which was hit by George Petrick. The audience was convinced that Chris Götze's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guntram Steinberg was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After 37 minutes, Fritz Zirotzki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Großgerstetten and the Huxel FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Frank was the one to do the kick off. José Römer made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Alban Kanzleiter sent off a good shot on target. When Edzard Pajewski came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Huxel FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edzard Pajewski couldn't finish the play. Guntram Steinberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Götze in the 55th minute of the match. Alban Kanzleiter scored 2-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Römer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67th minute Axel Frank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guntram Steinberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Großgerstetten getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Harold Christann hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, George Petrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Huxel FSV's zone, Fynn Freund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guntram Steinberg came out of the goal and Fynn Freund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guntram Steinberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Frank's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. José Römer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edzard Pajewski in the 82nd minute. The audience was convinced that Fynn Freund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guntram Steinberg was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Helgi Löffler's late challenge caught a Großgerstetten's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Helgi Löffler helped the player get up and apologised. 89 minutes into the game, one of Huxel FSV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Großgerstetten getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Harold Christann hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Großgerstetten's Harold Christann got a free kick in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute of the match Karsten Peitsch sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Römer skillfully saved the ball. 98 minutes into the game, Alban Kanzleiter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Römer. Alban Kanzleiter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
