Spectators: 8150 (Terracing: 6114, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 162) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arvid Knüwe started the match with the kick off. Mark Saak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joerg-Uwe Thau, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After a rather tough play, Holzbein Kiel's Quirin Saur got a free kick in the 7th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Joerg-Uwe Thau dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mark Saak, 2-0. In the 15th minute Joerg-Uwe Thau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Saak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joerg-Uwe Thau in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mark Saak saved Holzbein Kiel from getting behind. In the 17thth minute of the game Joerg-Uwe Thau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holzbein Kiel's Mark Saak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joerg-Uwe Thau in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mark Saak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, FC Trabzon's Mark Saak threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joerg-Uwe Thau, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 37 minutes into the match, Holzbein Kiel's goalkeeper Mark Saak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reiner Poschmann. In the 41st minute, FC Trabzon's Joerg-Uwe Thau dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Joerg-Uwe Thau made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, one of Holzbein Kiel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Holzbein Kiel. The referee gave FC Trabzon a penalty, 52 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joerg-Uwe Thau, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Holzbein Kiel's Mark Saak. 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joerg-Uwe Thau in the 59th minute of play forced Holzbein Kiel's goalkeeper Mark Saak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dolf von Dreusche took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mark Saak. Mark Saak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Caspar Finkel hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Mark Saak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joerg-Uwe Thau in the 70th minute of play. If Arvid Knüwe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Holzbein Kiel defense, Joerg-Uwe Thau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mark Saak. The Holzbein Kiel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mark Saak should have stopped the shot. After 78 played minutes FC Trabzon got a freekick which was hit by Joerg-Uwe Thau. Caspar Finkel struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Stanislas Le Duigou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holzbein Kiel. The FC Trabzon fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when FC Trabzon's Joerg-Uwe Thau looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 86 minutes into the game, Andrea Pirlo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Holzbein Kiel's Quirin Saur quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Arvid Knüwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislas Le Duigou having to interfere. When Dolf von Dreusche came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FC Trabzon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dolf von Dreusche couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Trabzon fully deserved thier win.
