In the 2nd minute, James Schewe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilfried Roth's late challenge caught a Holzbein Kiel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfried Roth helped the player get up and apologised. Boris Rebmann hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Großaga FC's Wilfried Roth got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Jacobs made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Holzbein Kiel's Pascal Vester. If Caspar Finkel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Thomas Haraszti notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Großaga FC's Fredi Feinbier. Fredi Feinbier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 25 minutes into the game, Großaga FC's Wilfried Roth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mark Saak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Mark Saak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfried Roth, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Mark Saak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Polenk in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caspar Finkel in the 39th minute of play forced Großaga FC's goalkeeper Fredi Feinbier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilfried Roth struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Mark Saak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Großaga FC. In the 48th minute Thomas Haraszti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredi Feinbier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boris Polenk to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Holzbein Kiel's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Polenk came free, but Mark Saak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Großaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximilian Behrenbeck to maneuver through the defense. Fredi Feinbier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Haraszti, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Polenk in the 58th minute of play forced Holzbein Kiel's goalkeeper Mark Saak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Boris Polenk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mark Saak. Holzbein Kiel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Boris Polenk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Großaga FC's Fredi Feinbier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Haraszti in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Polenk in the 67th minute of play forced Holzbein Kiel's goalkeeper Mark Saak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Caspar Finkel sped through Großaga FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fredi Feinbier. Caspar Finkel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Holzbein Kiel's Thomas Haraszti managed to work through Großaga FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Thomas Haraszti dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 78 minutes of play, Holzbein Kiel's Thomas Haraszti made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fredi Feinbier was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Holzbein Kiel's Mark Saak got control of the ball when Wilfried Roth tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 82 played minutes Holzbein Kiel got a freekick which was hit by Caspar Finkel. Fredi Feinbier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thomas Haraszti went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Haraszti in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fredi Feinbier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 93 played minutes Großaga FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximilian Behrenbeck. In the 96th minute Raimund Mappus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredi Feinbier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Holzbein Kiel players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
