The crowd rose to their feet as Football Club Leon's Ulryk Piatek slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dimitrios Møller. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. Dimitrios Møller stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulryk Piatek's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Dieter Jagow was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Schechen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Football Club Leon the free kick. After 22 played minutes Schechen got a freekick which was hit by Dieter Jagow. After having played for 28 minutes, Tymoteusz Chazon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Football Club Leon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tymoteusz Chazon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 29 played minutes Schechen got a freekick which was hit by Drees Kästner. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Tymoteusz Chazon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Football Club Leon's supporters rose to their feet, but Tymoteusz Chazon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dimitrios Møller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Football Club Leon's Cezary Jeziorkowski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dimitrios Møller. That made the score 2-0 after 33 minutes of play. Ulryk Piatek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitrios Møller having to interfere. If Ulryk Piatek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Tymoteusz Chazon made a precise shot to the right of Dimitrios Møller. Schechen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Tymoteusz Chazon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Dimitrios Møller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimitrios Møller didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulryk Piatek went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dieter Jagow to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ulryk Piatek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the game, Cezary Jeziorkowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Dimitrios Møller was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 64 minutes into the game, Football Club Leon's Ulryk Piatek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dimitrios Møller made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Tymoteusz Chazon's late challenge caught a Schechen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tymoteusz Chazon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, Football Club Leon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tymoteusz Chazon to maneuver through the defense. Tymoteusz Chazon kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Tim Legler charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tim Legler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tim Legler hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Football Club Leon's Arpad Richter got a free kick in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, Schechen's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Sempert came free, but Dimitrios Møller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Ulryk Piatek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitrios Møller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Football Club Leon were the better team. Football Club Leon's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
