Spectators: 7885 (Terracing: 6035, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 0) FC Trabzon's Joerg-Uwe Thau started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Trabzon's Dolf von Dreusche got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dimitrios Møller came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Trabzon's Dolf von Dreusche. But to his dismay, Dolf von Dreusche quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Reiner Poschmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When FC Trabzon's Joerg-Uwe Thau in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schechen's goalie prevented a goal. In the 14th minute, Reiner Poschmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dimitrios Møller was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of Schechen booed when FC Trabzon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horst Hussen didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dieter Jagow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the game, FC Trabzon's Reiner Poschmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dimitrios Møller made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 27 minutes into the match, Joerg-Uwe Thau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dimitrios Møller. Schechen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joerg-Uwe Thau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the 31st minute, Boris Söderström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dimitrios Møller was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 43rd minute, Joerg-Uwe Thau made a precise shot to the right of Dimitrios Møller. Schechen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dieter Jagow stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Joerg-Uwe Thau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55thth minute of the game Joerg-Uwe Thau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schechen's Dimitrios Møller was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reiner Poschmann got free with Dimitrios Møller in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dimitrios Møller was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Dolf von Dreusche capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dolf von Dreusche really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. Dimitrios Møller came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Trabzon's Dolf von Dreusche. But to his dismay, Dolf von Dreusche quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oka Mangkulangit in the 70th minute of play forced Schechen's goalkeeper Dimitrios Møller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Reiner Poschmann kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dimitrios Møller. That made the score 0-12 in the 81 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joerg-Uwe Thau in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dimitrios Møller saved Schechen from getting behind. When Carsten Morek fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Schechen's protests and gave Carsten Morek a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Schechen getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Carsten Morek hit a great ball. If Boris Söderström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 94 minutes, Joerg-Uwe Thau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Trabzon and the Schechen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute Joerg-Uwe Thau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitrios Møller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Schechen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Trabzon were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
